M2 FCN - Admission
Fundamental and Clinical Neurosciences
Fellowships from the NeuroGraduate School are available for students who will enroll in the M2FCN path and wish to carry out their M2 internship in a laboratory abroad (infos here).
The M2 FCN admissions on ecandidat.univ-lyon1.fr for the academic year 2026-2027 will open on May 11th 2026 (see details below)
Prerequisites
– Validation of 4 years of higher education, corresponding to a Master 1 degree (240 ECTS) (*)
– Validation of at least 6 ECTS in Neuroscience or related disciplines
– Validation of at least 9 ECTS in English
(*): Medical students/professionals who did not validate an M1 (in addition to their medical training), should provide proofs of their previous research activity in the field of Neuroscience.
Time-line of the application process
UPDATED February 27th, 2026
French citizens, EU citizens and students already enrolled in a French university + citizens of countries that do not belong to the «Etudes en France» program (see EEF list here)
– May 11, 2026 : Opening of the « eCandidat » platform
– June 11, 2026 : Application submission deadline
– July 3, 2026 : Publication of the admission results (on « eCandidat » exclusively)
– July 13, 2026 : Deadline for students to accept a position in the program using the « eCandidat » platform
Residents of countries that belong to the «Etudes en France» program (see EEF list here)
- Applications should be submitted through the «Etudes en France» platform, following the instructions from your country of origin.
- WARNING : Applications are made in Fall-Winter year N-1, with specific calendar for each country.
